ClickUp integration without code: tasks, lists and time tracking

The ClickUp integration in nana800 creates and updates tasks, lists and folders and tracks time, without code. All you need to connect it is a ClickUp personal token that starts with pk_. Every operation costs $0.002, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

  • Set assignees and tags, a due date, a start date and a time estimate
  • Get, update and delete tasks by ID, and get the tasks of a list with or without closed tasks and subtasks
  • Create, rename and delete lists and folders in a space
  • Start and stop a timer, and add, get and change time entries

Blocks in the builder

  • ClickUp tasks and time tracking

    Action · $0.002 per run

22 operations on tasks, lists, folders and time entries, from create_task and update_task to start_time_entry and stop_time_entry. Works with a ClickUp Personal Access Token.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Get a ClickUp token

Create a Personal Access Token in the settings of your ClickUp account. It starts with pk_. nana800 uses it to work with your tasks.

  2. 2

    Find the list ID

Open the ClickUp list where tasks should go in your browser: its ID is in the page address. The IDs of a space, folder or task are found the same way.

  3. 3

Add a trigger and the ClickUp block

Create a scheme in the builder and add a trigger that brings the data, for example webhook for website leads or Telegram message from user to bot. Add the ClickUp Request block, paste the token into Access Token and choose the create_task operation.

  4. 4

    Fill in the task

Enter the List ID and the task name in Name. The rest is optional: a description, the status as it is named in the list, a priority from 1 (urgent) to 4 (low), and assignee IDs and tags separated by commas. Values can come from the trigger.

  5. 5

Turn the scheme on and test it

Add the button trigger, turn the scheme on and press the button: the task appears in the list, and its details come back in the data field. If ClickUp refuses, the reason is in error_message. When it works, keep the scheme on. While it is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

Every run of the ClickUp block costs $0.002, whatever operation it performs. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

A Personal Access Token is created in the settings of your ClickUp account and starts with pk_. Paste it into the Access Token field of the block. You do not need to register your own ClickUp app.

In the ClickUp page address: open the list, folder or task in your browser and copy the ID from the address. Team ID is needed only for time tracking, Space ID for folders and lists of a space, and Folder ID for lists inside a folder.

start_time_entry starts a timer and stop_time_entry stops it. create_time_entry adds a finished entry and needs the Team ID, a start time and a duration in milliseconds. The task of an entry goes into the Task ID (Time Entry) field.

nana800 has no trigger for ClickUp events: the block runs operations when another trigger has started the scheme. To check a list regularly, use the time internal trigger and get its tasks with get_tasks.

No. The block is set up with fields in the browser: token, operation, list ID and task details. For rare cases there is a Raw Payload field: you paste JSON there, and the block sends it to ClickUp instead of the form fields.
