Webhooks without code: receive data and answer requests

A webhook in nana800 is an address where a website, a form or another service sends data, and your scheme handles it right away: writes it to a sheet, posts it to Telegram, answers the sender. You set the method and path in one block, with no server and no code. 1,000 received requests cost $1, and the reply is free.

  • Block run: up to $0.001
  • Free every month: $3.50
  • No card needed

What you can do

  • Receive website form leads and events from CRMs, payment and other services that can send data to your address
  • Accept GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests with a JSON, form, plain text or XML body up to 20 MB
  • Read the request body, the parameters after ?, path parts like /orders/:id and the headers in your scheme
  • Answer the sender with your own status code, headers and a JSON or text body, for example data from a sheet or an AI reply
  • Build a small API: several webhooks in one scheme, each with its own method and path
  • See the addresses of all scheme webhooks on the API page, test them with the Try it tab and download an OpenAPI file for Postman

Blocks in the builder

  • Webhook (trigger)

    Trigger · $0.001 per run

Starts the scheme when a request with the chosen method and path reaches its address. Passes on the request body (body), the parameters after ? (query), the path parts with a colon (params) and the headers (headers).

  • Webhook response

    Action · free

Sends the answer back to whoever made the request: a status code (200 OK by default), headers and a JSON or plain text body. The body can include data from earlier blocks. This block is free.

How to set it up

  1. 1

Create a scheme and add a webhook

Create a scheme in the builder and add the webhook trigger. Pick the method: POST fits forms and most services. Enter a path that starts with "/", for example /lead. Path parts with a colon, as in /orders/:id, arrive in the scheme as separate values.

  2. 2

Add the blocks that do the work

Connect the blocks you need to the webhook, for example Telegram message send or google sheet record. Request data goes into their fields: the form body is in body, the address parameters are in query.

  3. 3

    Answer the sender

Put the webhook response block at the end, choose a status code and fill in body json, for example {"ok": true}. If a block before it fails, the scheme goes on, and this block still answers as you set it up. Without this block the sender gets a default 200 answer when the scheme finishes, or after 120 seconds at most.

  4. 4

Turn the scheme on and test the address

Turn the scheme on: while it is off, the webhook answers with code 409. Click the API button in the builder, copy the webhook address and send a test request on the Try it tab. Keep in mind that the request really runs every block of the scheme.

  5. 5

Paste the address into your site or service

Put the address into the settings of your form, CRM or payment service, wherever it asks for a notification address (webhook URL). Every request to it now starts the scheme. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

1,000 received requests cost $1. The webhook response block is free. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A webhook scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

Open the scheme and click the API button. It lists every webhook of the scheme with its full address and a copy button, the request fields the blocks read and sample answers. The address is made of the nana800 server address, the scheme ID and the path you set in the block.

Code 200 and {"finished":true,"default":true}. This answer comes when the scheme finishes, or after 120 seconds if it runs longer. A failed block does not stop the scheme, and its failed run is not charged: the next blocks keep running. Code 500 comes only when the scheme run itself fails, for example after a crash or when the balance runs out. If the scheme is off, the sender gets code 409.

Anyone who knows the address: webhooks are public, and every request starts the scheme. For sensitive data, ask the sender to add a secret header and compare it with the condition block, or check a token with the validate jwt block.

GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests. The body can be JSON, a regular form, plain text or XML, up to 20 MB. In the scheme the body is in body, the parameters after ? are in query, path parts with a colon are in params and the headers are in headers.

No. nana800 gives you the address, you pick the method and path in the block fields and build the answer in the fields of the webhook response block. For forms and CRMs it is usually enough to paste the address into their settings.
