Telegram bot without code: replies, buttons and alerts

You can build a Telegram bot without code in nana800 from two blocks: one catches messages and button presses, the other replies in a private chat, group or channel. All you need is a bot token from @BotFather, with no server and no code. Every incoming message and every bot reply costs $0.001, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

How to set it up

    Create a bot with @BotFather

    Send /newbot to @BotFather in Telegram, pick a name and copy the token that looks like 123456789:AAH... The token is the key nana800 uses to run your bot, and both blocks need it.

    Add the incoming message trigger

    Create a scheme in the builder and add the Telegram message from user to bot trigger. Paste the token and choose what starts the scheme: messages only, messages and button presses, channel posts, or all of them.

    Add the send message block

    Add the Telegram message send block, paste the same token and put chat_id from the trigger into the chat ID field, so the bot answers whoever wrote to it. Write the reply. If the text comes from an AI or other blocks, pick the plain_text format so a stray asterisk does not break the message.

    Turn the scheme on and test it with the button

    Add the button trigger, temporarily put your own ID from @getmyid_bot into the chat ID field, turn the scheme on and press the button. Press Start in your bot first, otherwise Telegram will not let it message you. The button itself is free. You pay only for the send block run.

    Keep the scheme on

    Put chat_id from the trigger back and keep the scheme on. Every message to the bot now starts it. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

From @BotFather in Telegram: send /newbot, then choose a name and a username. The reply contains a token like 123456789:AAH... Paste it into the token field of both blocks.

The @getmyid_bot bot shows it. Group and channel IDs start with -100, and for a public channel you can use its @name. Add the bot to the group, or make it an admin of the channel. In private chats the bot can only write to people who pressed Start first.

Check that the scheme is on and the trigger listens to the right events. Another cause: the same bot is connected to another service that also reads its messages. In that case create a separate bot for nana800.

Yes. Choose photo or document in the message type field and give a public link to the file or a file_id from the Telegram trigger. Telegram downloads the file itself: photos up to 5 MB, other files up to 20 MB. A caption can be up to 1024 characters.

No. Both blocks are set up with fields in the browser: token, chat ID, text, buttons. You do not need a server either: nana800 fetches the messages of the bot with its token.
