Gmail integration without code: a scheme for every new email

The Gmail integration in nana800 is a trigger that checks your inbox once a minute and starts a scheme on every new email, so you can forward it to Telegram, save it to a spreadsheet or pass it to an AI. You connect the mailbox with a Google app password or through OAuth, with no code. Every email that starts the scheme costs $0.002, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

Blocks in the builder

  • New Gmail email (trigger)

    Trigger · $0.002 per run

Checks the Gmail inbox once a minute and starts the scheme on every new email that matches the search. Returns the sender, recipient, subject, text, HTML, date and, if you want, the list of attachments.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Create a Google app password

The easiest way to sign in is an app password. You create it in your Google account: Security, 2-Step Verification, App passwords. The other way is OAuth: client_id and client_secret of an app from Google Cloud Console and a refresh_token with access to Gmail.

  2. 2

    Add the Gmail trigger

Create a scheme and add the gmail incoming email trigger. Enter your Gmail address, choose APP_PASSWORD_IMAP as the auth method and paste the app password. For OAuth, choose OAUTH_CLIENT and fill in client_id, client_secret and refresh_token.

  3. 3

    Set up an email filter

Put a Gmail search into the search query field, for example from:boss@example.com or subject:(report), and only such emails will start the scheme. Leave it empty for all incoming emails. Turn on include attachments if you need attachment names and sizes.

  4. 4

    Add an action

Add a block that does something with the email, for example Telegram message send, and put the sender and subject from the trigger into the text. Or start from the ready Gmail to Telegram template, where these two blocks are already connected.

  5. 5

Turn the scheme on and send a test email

Turn the scheme on. The first check only remembers the emails already in the inbox. Send yourself an email: the mailbox is checked once a minute, and the scheme starts after the check. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

Every new email that starts the scheme costs $0.002, and the other blocks of the scheme are charged at their own price. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

An app password is simpler: you only need the Gmail address and a password created in your Google account. OAuth means signing in through your own Google app, and it suits you if you already work with Google Cloud Console: client_id and client_secret come from there, and the refresh_token must have access to Gmail. Both ways check the mailbox once a minute and give the scheme the same email data.

Yes. The search query field takes a regular Gmail search: from:boss@example.com, subject:(report), label:unread and combinations of them. An empty field means every email in the inbox.

The first check only remembers the emails already in the mailbox. Emails older than 3 days, for example ones that arrived while the scheme was off, do not start it. If more than 300 emails arrive in a minute, the rest are handled on the next checks. Each email starts the scheme once, even after a server restart.

This block only receives emails. To send, use the separate send email message block: it sends through the SMTP server of a mailbox and needs the server address, port, login and password.

No, only the list of attachments: name, size and type of each file, when include attachments is on. The files themselves are not downloaded. The trigger does not change your Gmail emails and does not mark them as read.
