Notion integration without code: database rows, pages and text

A Notion integration in nana800 takes no code: one block adds rows to a database, finds them with a filter, changes their properties and appends text to the end of a page. To connect it you need the token of an internal Notion integration and access for that integration to the database or page. Every request to Notion costs $0.002, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

What you can do

  • Add a row to a Notion database for every lead, order or bot message: properties are filled as a simple name and value list
  • Get database rows with a filter and sorting: up to 500 rows per run
  • Change the properties of a row by its ID: status, date, checkbox, select option or relation
  • Create a page inside another page with a title and text
  • Append paragraphs, headings, lists and other Notion blocks to the end of a page: up to 100 per run
  • Detect the property type by itself: number, date, select, checkbox, people, files, relation

Blocks in the builder

  • Notion request

    Action · $0.002 per run

Queries database rows with a filter and sorting, creates rows and pages, updates page properties and appends text to the end of a page. Returns the ID and link of a new page or the rows found with readable property values.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Create an integration in Notion

In your Notion profile open the integrations section and press New integration. Choose the Internal type, pick your workspace and save. On the Configuration tab copy the Internal Integration Secret: it starts with ntn_ or secret_. Check that reading, updating and inserting content are allowed.

  2. 2

Give the integration access to the database

Open the database or page in Notion, press the three dots in the top right corner, choose Connections and add your integration. Access also covers nested pages. Without this step Notion answers that the page is not found, even though it exists.

  3. 3

    Add a trigger for leads

Create a scheme in the builder and add the webhook trigger: choose the POST method and set a path such as /lead. Your website form or another service sends data to the address of this webhook, and the scheme starts.

  4. 4

    Add the Notion block

Add the Notion block, choose the create_page operation and paste the token. Paste the database link from the address bar into the database field. Fill in the title, and in the properties list write the column names exactly as in Notion on the left and the lead data on the right.

  5. 5

Turn the scheme on and test it with a button

Add the button trigger, type test values for now, turn the scheme on and press the button. A new row appears in the database, and its ID and link are in the block result. The button itself is free. You pay only for the Notion request.

  6. 6

    Keep the scheme on

Put the lead data back and keep the scheme on. Every lead now becomes a row in your Notion database. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

Every request to Notion costs $0.002. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

An integration sees only the databases and pages it was given access to. Open the database, press the three dots, choose Connections and add the integration. Another cause is a wrong link or ID: it is the 32 characters in the address before the question mark.

nana800 has no Notion trigger. Events arrive only through the webhooks of Notion itself, for example from a database automation that sends a webhook to the address of the webhook trigger. Not every Notion plan has this action. The other option is a schedule trigger that queries rows with a filter.

The block checks the property types itself. A date is written as 2026-09-15, a date range with a slash. A checkbox takes yes or no. Several options, people, relations or files are separated by commas. Properties that Notion calculates itself, such as formulas and unique IDs, cannot be changed.

Notion returns 100 rows per request, and the block requests the next parts itself, up to 500 rows per run. If there are more, the result holds a cursor to continue from next time.

No. Properties are filled as a simple name and value list, and the block detects their types. JSON is needed only for filters, sorting and rare property types, and you do not need a server.
