SendGrid integration: send emails from schemes without code
The SendGrid integration in nana800 sends an email through your SendGrid account when a website form, a Telegram message or a schedule starts the scheme. You need an API key with the Mail Send permission and a verified sender address, and every recipient gets a separate email. A block run costs $0.002 for any number of recipients, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

How to set it up
- 1
Create an API key in SendGrid
In SendGrid open Settings, then API Keys and click Create API Key. The API key is the password nana800 uses to send emails from your account. Choose Restricted Access, turn on the Mail Send permission and copy the key: it starts with SG and is shown only once.
- 2
Verify the sender address
In Settings, Sender Authentication verify the address or the whole domain you will send from. SendGrid rejects emails from an unverified address and returns an error.
- 3
Add the block to a scheme
Create a scheme with a trigger that brings the data for the email, for example webhook for website leads. Add the SendGrid Request block, paste the key and fill in from, to, the subject and the text. You can put the customer name and order number from the trigger into the subject and text.
- 4
Turn the scheme on and test it with the button
Temporarily add the button trigger, put your own address into the to field, turn the scheme on and press the button. success is true when SendGrid accepted the email for sending. Whether it reached the inbox is shown in SendGrid itself, in the Activity section.
- 5
Keep the scheme on
Put the real trigger back and keep the scheme on. Every new lead now sends an email by itself. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.
