Scheduled Telegram messages: reminders and posts without code

Scheduled Telegram messages in nana800 take two blocks: a timer starts the scheme at the right time, and the bot sends a message to a private chat, group or channel. You set the time with fields from the minute to the weekday plus a time zone, or give an exact date for a one-off message. Each send costs two basic block runs ($1 per 1,000), and an enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.

What you can automate

  • Every morning at 9:00, remind your team group about the standup or send the plan for the day
  • Remind the team to send reports on Fridays and to pay rent and bills on the first day of each month
  • Publish an announcement in a channel at an exact date and time, for example on the day a sale starts
  • Send a daily report: a block between the timer and the bot takes the numbers from your website API or a Google Sheet
  • Send a follow-up reminder a few hours later: the wait for time period block delays the next message

How to set it up

  1. 1

Prepare the bot and the chat

Create a bot with @BotFather and copy the token. Add the bot to your group, or make it an admin of your channel. The @getmyid_bot bot shows the chat ID, and a public channel also works with its @name. In private chats the bot can only write to people who pressed Start.

  2. 2

    Add a timer

Create a scheme and add the time internal trigger. Choose the second, minute and hour, and if needed a weekday (1 is Monday, 7 is Sunday), a day of month or a month, then check the time zone. An asterisk means every: minute 0 with an asterisk in the hour sends a message every hour.

  3. 3

Use an exact date for a one-off message

For a message that goes out once, add the wait for exact time trigger instead, pick the ISO_STRING setup method and enter a date and time such as 2026-12-31T09:00:00+03:00. After it is sent you can turn the scheme off so you do not pay for its hours.

  4. 4

    Add the send message block

Add the Telegram message send block, paste the token and the chat ID and write a text of up to 4096 characters. You can attach a photo or a file from a public link, add link buttons or send the message silently.

  5. 5

Turn the scheme on and test it

Add the button trigger, turn the scheme on and press the button: the message goes out at once, without waiting for the schedule. If it arrived, keep the scheme on. The timer fires only while the scheme is on, and an enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.

Pricing

Frequently asked questions

A timer tick and a sent message each cost the basic block price, $1 per 1,000 runs. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour, and the timer only works while the scheme is on. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, but a scheme kept on around the clock for a whole month spends most of that on hours.

Not with one timer: each field takes a single value or an asterisk. So one timer can fire every minute, every hour at a chosen minute, daily, on chosen weekdays or days of month. For every 15 minutes, add four timers set to minutes 0, 15, 30 and 45 and connect them all to one send block.

The one chosen in the time zone field of the timer. Moscow time is the default, so pick your own zone, or messages will arrive earlier or later than you expect.

No. The schedule runs on nana800 servers: turn the scheme on and you can close the browser.

Yes, if the bot is an admin of the channel. Put the @name of a public channel or an ID starting with -100 into the chat ID field. You can write the post in advance or get it from an AI model.

Yes. Put a block that fetches data between the timer and the send block: a request to your website API, reading rows from a Google Sheet or an AI answer. Its result goes into the message text.
