Website leads to email: a message for every form submission
To get website leads by email, nana800 uses two blocks: webhook receives the form data, and send email message delivers it to one or more addresses. Emails go out through your own mailbox over SMTP, so you need the mail server address, login and password. One email costs as much as 20 basic block runs, 1,000 runs cost $1, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.
Build it in the builderWhat you can automate
- Contact form leads arrive by email to the owner or to a shared sales inbox
- One lead goes to several teammates at once, with addresses separated by commas
- The customer gets a confirmation email at the address entered in the form
- A website order arrives as an HTML email with name, phone, items and total laid out in a table
- Alerts from services that can send webhooks collect in one inbox
How to set it up
- 1
Prepare a mailbox for sending
It is best to create a separate mailbox for website emails, for example at Gmail, Zoho Mail or your hosting provider. SMTP is the way mail apps send email. Look up the SMTP server address and the SSL port in the help of your mail service, usually 465. Many mail services ask for an app password from the security settings for outside apps.
- 2
Add the webhook trigger
A webhook is an address your website sends the form data to. Create a scheme in the builder and add the webhook trigger. Choose POST in the method field and enter a path such as /lead in the path field. The path starts with a slash and does not end with one.
- 3
Build the email in send email message
Add the send email message block. Put the mailbox address into from and the recipients into to, several addresses separated by commas are fine. Write a subject in subject, such as New website lead plus the customer name. Build the email in text or html from the form fields: they sit in body of the webhook data under the same names as in your form.
- 4
Enter the mailbox access
Put the mailbox login, usually the full email address, into email auth user, the password or app password into email auth pass, and the server and port into smtp host and smtp port. The block connects to the server over a secure connection from the start, so it needs the SSL port, usually 465.
- 5
Connect the form and test it
Turn the scheme on, press API in the builder and paste the webhook address into your form settings or website code. In the Try it tab, send a test lead and check your inbox, including the spam folder. If there is no email, the reason is in the error_text field of the block. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.
Pricing
A run of a Webhook block costs up to $0.001, a run of a Email block costs $0.002-$0.02. Every month the balance is topped up to $3.50 for free, an enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.
