Send emails automatically and process incoming mail without code

nana800 sends emails automatically from your own mailbox: the block signs in to the outgoing (SMTP) server of your mail with a login and password and sends a subject and text to one or more addresses. A second block checks any mailbox with IMAP access once a minute and starts the scheme on every new email. A run of these blocks costs $0.002-$0.02, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

What you can do

  • Send website leads, orders and reports to your inbox, with the subject and text built from data of earlier blocks
  • Send one email to several people at once: list the addresses separated by commas
  • Write plain text or HTML with links, bold text and images
  • Start a scheme on every new email in Yandex, Mail.ru, Gmail, Timeweb, a company mailbox or any other service with IMAP
  • Watch any folder of the mailbox, not only the inbox, for example an Orders folder
  • Pass the sender, subject, body, date and the list of attachments with names and sizes further down the scheme
  • Mark a processed email as read or leave it unread

Blocks in the builder

  • Send email

    Action · $0.02 per run

Sends an email from your mailbox through its SMTP server: from, to (several addresses separated by commas), subject, text or HTML. Needs the SMTP server address, port (465 by default), login and password of the mailbox.

  • New email in a mailbox (trigger)

    Trigger · $0.002 per run

Checks a mailbox folder over IMAP once a minute and starts the scheme on every new email. Returns the sender, recipients, subject, text and HTML body, date, message number and the list of attachments.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Prepare the mailbox

Turn on IMAP access in the settings of your mail. Yandex, Mail.ru and Gmail allow IMAP access only with an app password: create one in the security settings of the mail account. The IMAP and SMTP server addresses and ports are in the help pages of your mail service.

  2. 2

    Add the new email trigger

Create a scheme and add the IMAP incoming email trigger. Enter the IMAP server address such as imap.yandex.ru, port 993 and SSL_TLS security, the login (usually the full email address), the app password and the folder: INBOX is the inbox.

  3. 3

    Add the send email block

Add the send email message block. Fill in the sender address, the recipient addresses, the subject and the text or HTML. You can insert the sender and subject of the incoming email into the subject and text. Below, enter the login and password of the mailbox, the SMTP server address and port. Send from the same address you use to sign in to the SMTP server, so emails get delivered more reliably.

  4. 4

Turn the scheme on and test it with the button

Add the button trigger, put your own address into the recipients, turn the scheme on and press the button. The button itself is free. If the email does not arrive, the block result holds the error text from the mail server, most often a wrong password or port.

  5. 5

    Keep the scheme on

Put the real recipients back and keep the scheme on. The first check of the mailbox only remembers the emails already in the folder and does not start the scheme. After that every new email starts it once. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

A run of the email blocks costs $0.002-$0.02: a new incoming email costs less, sending an email costs more. An email to several people is one run. If an email fails to send, the run is not charged. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

IMAP is the way mail apps read a mailbox. Receiving works with any mail that offers it: Gmail, Yandex, Mail.ru, Timeweb, a mailbox on your own domain. Sending works through the SMTP server of any mailbox. The server must be reachable from the internet: local network addresses such as localhost or 192.168.0.10 are not supported.

From yours. The send block does not use nana800 mail: it signs in to the SMTP server of your mailbox with your login and password. It helps to create a separate mailbox for emails from schemes, so they do not mix with your work mail.

The first check only remembers the emails already in the folder. Emails older than 3 days, for example ones that arrived while the scheme was off, do not start it either. If more than 300 emails arrive in a minute, the rest are handled on the next checks. After you change the server, login or folder, the mailbox is remembered again.

No, the send block only passes the subject, text and HTML. Put the file into cloud storage and add a link to it in the email. The incoming email trigger returns the list of attachments with name, type and size, but does not download the files.

The reason is written to the block result. Common causes: a wrong password (many services require an app password), a wrong server or port. The block connects over SSL right away, so use the SSL port, usually 465. Before sending, the block also checks the subject and text against a list of obscene words and does not send an email that contains them.
