Google Calendar booking API: a template with a Telegram alert
The Google Calendar booking API template in nana800 works like this: your site sends a title and time to a webhook, the calendar block creates an event, the bot alerts you in Telegram, and the site gets the event ID back. No server or code is needed, and you connect Google with a button in the block. One booking costs four basic block runs, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

Chain of blocks
- 1
Trigger
button starts the scheme by hand for a test. The event fields take their data from the request, so put test values into them before a button test, or test the scheme on the API page.
- 2
Trigger · Webhook (trigger)
webhook is the address your site, booking form or CRM sends JSON to, with the fields title, description, start_time and end_time.
- 3
Action · Create a Google Calendar event
Google Calendar Event book creates an event in the main calendar of the connected Google account, with the title, description, start and end from the request. By default it is a meeting with a Google Meet call and a 5 minute reminder.
- 4
Action · Send Telegram message
Telegram message send sends you a "New booking!" message with the title, start and end of the booking. You add the bot token and chat ID.
- 5
Action · Webhook response
webhook response answers the sender with code 200 and JSON with success, a success message and the event_id of the event.
What it is good for
- A booking for a consultation or a trial lesson on your site goes straight into the calendar
- Time slots with a stylist, tutor or specialist, with an alert in Telegram
- Meetings from a chatbot or a CRM: any service that can send a request to an address puts an event in the calendar
- A Google Meet call for every booking, with the link returned to the site in the answer
- An invitation from Google for the client: their email comes in the request and goes into the guests field
How to set it up
- 1
Open the template
In the builder open Templates, find Google Calendar Booking API and press Use. A scheme with five connected blocks appears in the project you pick.
- 2
Set up the webhook
A webhook is the address your site sends booking data to. In the webhook block set method to POST: the template has GET, but the data comes in the request body. In path enter a path that starts with "/", for example /booking.
- 3
Connect Google Calendar
In the Google Calendar Event book block press the connect button and sign in to your Google account: events will appear in its main calendar. Keep the MEETING event type for a meeting with a Google Meet call, or pick RECORD for a plain event. Check the time zone.
- 4
Add a Telegram bot
In the Telegram message send block paste the bot token from @BotFather and the chat ID, @getmyid_bot shows yours. Press Start in your bot, otherwise it cannot message you. You can rewrite the alert text as you like.
- 5
Turn the scheme on and send a test booking
Turn the scheme on: while it is off, the webhook answers with code 409. Press the API button in the builder and on the Try it tab send JSON like {"title": "Haircut, Anna", "start_time": "2026-11-20T15:00:00+03:00", "end_time": "2026-11-20T16:00:00+03:00", "description": "Client phone"}. The event really appears in the calendar.
- 6
Connect your site form
Copy the webhook address on the API page and paste it into your booking form or any service that can send requests. Send all four fields: if one is missing, the word undefined appears in its place in the event and the message. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.
