AI post generation for a Telegram channel: a scheduled template

AI posts for a Telegram channel come from a ready nana800 template: a timer starts the scheme, YandexGPT writes a post from your brief, and a bot publishes it to a channel or group. You need no Yandex Cloud key and no code, just a bot token and a channel ID. A YandexGPT request costs as much as 40 runs of a basic block, and an enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.

Chain of blocks

  1. 1

    Trigger

The button publishes a post right away without waiting for the schedule, which is handy for testing the brief and formatting. It works while the scheme is on.

  2. 2

    Trigger · Repeating timer

The time internal timer starts the scheme on a schedule. In the template it fires every hour, so pick your own posting time, for example every day at 10:00.

  3. 3

    Action · YandexGPT text

YandexGPT writes a post from the brief. The template has a draft brief with the topic, post type and audience in square brackets: replace them with your own words. The finished text goes on as result_text.

  4. 4

    Action · Send Telegram message

The bot publishes the YandexGPT text to a channel or group: the result is already in the message text. Enter the bot token and the channel ID.

What it is good for

  • Daily tips, facts or questions for the channel of a shop, cafe or salon
  • A weekly post on a chosen day, for example a roundup every Friday
  • Post drafts sent to a private group: you read them and publish the best ones yourself
  • Posts with a picture: add the YandexART block and send the post as a photo with a caption up to 1024 characters
  • A morning greeting or a motivation note in a team chat

How to set it up

  1. 1

Prepare the bot and the channel

Create a bot with /newbot in @BotFather, copy the token and make the bot an admin of your channel. A public channel is set as @name, a private one as an ID that starts with -100. The @getmyid_bot bot shows the ID.

  2. 2

    Open the template

In the builder open Ready templates, pick Generate Telegram Posts and press Use. The button, timer, YandexGPT and Telegram message are already connected.

  3. 3

    Set the schedule

In the time internal timer pick the posting time: second 0, minute 0, hour 10 gives a post every day at 10:00. The template runs every hour, which means 24 paid posts a day. Check the time zone, Moscow is the default.

  4. 4

    Write the brief for YandexGPT

In the Yandex GPT text request block fill in the system context prompt: what the channel is about, who reads it, the tone and length of posts. This field is empty in the template and it is required. In the user prompt replace the words in square brackets with the topic, post type and audience.

  5. 5

    Set up publishing

Paste the token and channel ID into the Telegram message send block, the post text already comes from result_text. Choose the plain_text format so asterisks in the AI answer do not break the message.

  6. 6

Turn the scheme on and test it

Turn the scheme on in its settings and press the button in the button block: the post appears in the channel right away. Every test is a paid YandexGPT request. After that posts go out on schedule while the scheme is on, and it costs $0.0042 per hour.
