RSS feed automation without code: every new item starts a scheme

RSS feed automation in nana800 starts with a trigger that checks the feed of a site, blog, podcast or YouTube channel on your schedule and runs the scheme for every new item. The title, link and text of the item can then go to Telegram, VK or Google Sheets without code. An empty check is free, a run for a new item costs $0.001, and your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month.

  • Free every month: $3.50
  • No card needed

What you can do

  • Watch RSS and Atom feeds of news sites, blogs, podcasts and YouTube channels
  • Post new items to a Telegram channel, a VK community wall or a team chat
  • Check the feed every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, every 3, 6 or 12 hours, or once a day
  • Get the title, link, description as HTML and as plain text, full text, date, author, categories, image and podcast audio
  • Handle a burst of new items in order: up to 50 per check, oldest first, the rest on the next checks
  • Run the scheme only once for each item, even after a server restart

Blocks in the builder

  • New RSS feed item (trigger)

    Trigger · $0.001 per run

Checks the feed as often as you choose, but not more than once every 5 minutes, and runs the scheme separately for each new item. Returns the title, link, description, full text, date, author, categories, image, enclosure and feed details.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Find the feed address

Sites usually show the feed behind an RSS icon or at the site address ending with /feed or /rss. A YouTube channel feed is at youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id= followed by the channel ID. Open the address in a browser: a real feed shows XML text, not a normal web page.

  2. 2

    Add the RSS feed trigger

Create a scheme in the builder and add the RSS feed new item trigger. Paste the feed address and choose how often to check it, every 15 minutes by default. The last field sets how many new items to handle per check: from 1 to 50, 10 by default.

  3. 3

Add a block that posts the item

Add, for example, the Telegram message send block and build the message from the trigger fields: title, link and description. Use description_text for the description: it is the same text without HTML tags, so it looks clean in a message.

  4. 4

    Turn the scheme on

The first check only remembers the items already in the feed and does not run the scheme, so your whole archive is not sent out. From the next new item on, the scheme runs by itself. While the scheme is on, it costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

A check with no new items is free. Each new item runs the scheme: the trigger run costs $0.001, plus the blocks after it, such as sending to Telegram. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 for free every month, no card needed. A scheme kept on around the clock for a month spends most of that on scheme hours.

This is on purpose: the first check only remembers the items already in the feed. The first item published after that runs the scheme. The same happens after you change the feed address in the trigger.

You choose: every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, every 3, 6 or 12 hours, or once a day. Checks cannot be more frequent than every 5 minutes. A new item reaches the scheme at the first check after it is published.

One check runs the scheme no more times than the number in the items per check field: 10 by default, 50 at most. Items go from oldest to newest, and the rest are handled on the next checks. Each item runs the scheme only once.

Any RSS or Atom feed reachable from the internet: news sites, blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels. Local network addresses such as localhost or 192.168.0.10 and feeds larger than 10 MB do not work. The trigger tells items apart by guid or id, or by link when those are missing.

Yes. Put an AI block such as Yandex GPT text request or Open AI request between the trigger and the send block, and ask it to shorten the text or write a post from the item description. Then put its answer into the send block.
