Online booking to Google Calendar: a request from your site becomes an event

Online booking to Google Calendar works in nana800 without code: a form on your site sends the name, email and time to a webhook, and the Google Calendar block creates the event and has Google send the guest an invite. For video meetings the block adds a Google Meet call and returns its link. A ready template creates the event, sends you a Telegram alert and answers the site with the event id.

What you can automate

  • Consultation booking on your site: an event with a Google Meet call and an invite to the client email
  • Booking time with a specialist: a regular event with the address in the location field
  • Trial lesson or demo booking: the call link goes back to the site and is shown to the client right away
  • Meetings from a CRM or chatbot: any service that can send a request to an address can put an event in the calendar
  • A Telegram alert to the team about each new booking with the meeting title and time

How to set it up

  1. 1

Take the template or start a scheme

The Google Calendar Booking API template is ready: webhook passes the data to Google Calendar Event book, then Telegram message send tells you about the booking and webhook response answers the site. You can build the same chain in an empty scheme.

  2. 2

    Set up the webhook

A webhook is an address your booking form sends data to. In the webhook trigger set method to POST and a path like /booking. Your site should send JSON with title, description, start_time and end_time: these are the fields the template puts into the event. The client email can come in the same request.

  3. 3

    Connect Google Calendar

In the Google Calendar Event book block click the connect button and sign in with a Google account: events appear in its primary calendar. Keep the event type MEETING for a meeting with a Google Meet call, or pick RECORD for a regular event.

  4. 4

Fill in the time and guests

Put the start and end time from the request into the start and end fields in ISO format, for example 2026-11-20T15:00:00+03:00. The end must be later than the start. Put the client email into the guests field and Google sends the invite. The reminder is 5 minutes before the start by default.

  5. 5

    Answer the site

In the template the webhook response block returns success and event_id. Add meet_link if the site should show the call link to the client right away, and html_link if you need a link to the event in the calendar.

  6. 6

Turn the scheme on and test it

A webhook answers only while its scheme is on. Click the API button in the builder, put JSON with a title and times on the Try it tab and click Send. The event really appears in the calendar. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour.

Frequently asked questions

The webhook and the Telegram alert cost the same as a basic block: $1 per 1,000 runs. Creating an event costs twice as much as a basic block, and the answer to the site is free. An enabled scheme costs $0.0042 per hour. Your balance is topped up to $3.50 every month, but a scheme kept on around the clock spends most of it on hours.

No. The block only creates an event at the time it receives and does not look at what is already in the calendar. Your form or booking service should offer free slots, and nana800 puts the chosen time into the calendar and sends the invite.

Send the time with its offset, for example 2026-11-20T15:00:00+03:00, and it is treated as exact. When the time has no offset, the block reads it in the zone chosen in the time zone field.

For the MEETING event type Google creates a Google Meet room and the block returns its link in meet_link. Send it to the client in the answer to the site, in an email or a message. If Google creates the event without a link, the block still counts as successful and error_text explains why.

The primary calendar of the Google account you connected with the button in the block. To book into the calendar of a colleague, connect the block with their account.

The scheme goes on, and the response block sends whatever it is set up to send. So put the condition block before the answer: when success_sent is false, return an error to the site with the reason from Google in error_text. A failed attempt is not charged.
